Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book a yacht?

For day charters, once you find the yacht that you like, please fill out the reservation form on the yacht's individual listing page where you will fill out your contact information, the date you are booking, and how many hours you would like to charter for. Once you do this, a broker will reach out to confirm availability and any special requests, and you will be sent a contract and an invoice.

If you are booking for a single day and your reservation is confirmed more than 30 days in advance, a deposit of either $1,000 USD or 50% of the total cost of the reservation (whichever is greater) is processed immediately in order to hold the yacht. Once your embarkation date is 7 days away, the remainder of the amount due is processed.

  • If you are booking for a single day and your reservation is made 30 days or less in advance, the total price of your reservation is processed immediately.

  • If you are booking for a multi-day charter and your reservation is confirmed more than 30 days in advance, a deposit of 50% of the cost of the yacht is processed immediately in order to hold the yacht. Once your embarkation date is 30 days away, the other 50% is collected for the price of the yacht, plus the APA, plus the taxes due.

All charters are to be paid by wire transfer. Please see below for our cancellation policy:

What is your cancellation policy?

Terms of refunds are dictated by the Charter Agreement. Generally, once a payment is collected, it is non-refundable. In certain circumstances, as dictated by the Charter Agreement, credits can be provided so you will be able to enjoy your yacht charter at a future date that is convenient for you.

In cases of inclement weather:

In order for a charter to be fully refunded due to weather, NOAA must issue an official warning. If NOAA does not issue a warning and there is bad weather, the captain must deem conditions to be unsafe. Strong wind conditions and lightning are typically the cause for this scenario.

If there is only a rain shower, the charter will continue. In locations with tropical weather patterns, especially during the summer, it is common for very short rain showers to occur. If you see rain on the weather forecast, don't be discouraged!

Are there any additional fees?

Short answer, no. We include tax and gratuity on all of our charters. The only fees you may incur would be a 3% credit card fee should you opt to pay via credit card instead of ACH. If you are booking a multi-day charter, a 30% APA is due upon booking, of which you will be returned if you do not use it all.

What is an APA?

APA stands for advanced provisioning allowance. This represents 30% of your charter fee, and goes towards dynamic costs associated with your charter which typically includes food, beverages, fuel, docking. If you do not use up the APA, the remaining balance will be returned to you. If you go over, you will be invoiced for the amount that exceeded the 30% paid.
